I was told by a gentleman sometime back that the ones who do not change are defined as 'laggards', in pretext to human evolution from a primitive man to the thinking man. 'Change we must' sounds good as long it comes from an effective leadership sitting over a sound infrastructure, and from a person who 'can' change the things around him for good. Anything apart from this is just thinking and not doing enough. The 26/11 has left an indelible mark on our minds. But we should not waste our anger and resent just like that and term that tragic event as just another crime story. It is certainly more than a story. Can't we go down to the root. Sometime back an incredibly famous bollywood actor pronounced in one of his interview "Let us create a new religion- Work". I was extremely impressed by his thought, which I somehow feel the same.

Thomas Friedman cried 'America can't exist on credit cards, Let's get back to work. Hence change can not happen on words unless translated into action, by one and all.

i donot think, change is something what we all would like to do,as the bitter truth is that we all are "afraid of changes"whether hollistically planned or individually.....
yes,on a greater ground i admit that whatever has been written holds truth in it,and we ourselves are responsible for our own deeds, but ................writing wont help, are you game to change?think about it?

Since it would be fair to say is that change is what we want, then lets start with ourselves first. I accept democracy and dilpomacy is not what we want, especially when we are angry but in large i certainly believe that change is a peaceful process. A lot of debate has started over muslims and islam being the reasons for 26/11, but like i said we have to be better than that.

Blaming a religion or its people is only going to lead to further deterioration of events. The religious factions within our borders will definately try taking advantage, we as the people with a moral responsibility should not allow that. In the time of pain and anguish we tend to become aggressive which might lead to irrevocable damages. The time that is to come is not going to be the best as far as i see, but its not going to be the worst either.
Change we must but in a dignified and responsible manner.

I totally agree Reynold. That is what I was also trying to say. Each one of us takes some responsibility for our own home - even if it is walking the dog, so why not for the larger home that is India? If we don't do our bit, we give up the right to criticise others.

True, I agree that we have a laid back attitude and casual approach but that is changing for the better now and faster than we thought.

We are openly asking questions, challenging the leadership and making politicians squirm at least a little, hopefully, thats just a tip of the iceberg. On TV channels, a young man said, "I cant connect with what the PM of this country says. These people are out of sync with us. They dont know anything about our feelings."

We need young, motivated people in politics, not dynastic icons. On NDTV, a huge gathering of young Indians at the Taj site stated that they want to form a political party of people who want to change India for the better and they will march to the PM, demanding answers that we all want.....Despite the depressing situation, I think we are on the brink of a great change that will carry us all into its very center, whether we resist it or not. We are part of this big change that will not die down, lets give it our best.

Lovely song by Bob Dylan.
