Comment on Why I Believe Test Cricket is Superior to 20-20 Cricket? by Hammad A Khan

I completely disagree..how can you compare two different versions, its like comparing a kid with an old man and trying to figure out who adds more value to the family..while old brings in grace, the youth brings exuberance and most NECESSARY, change. He rebels, sets up new examples and with time, is embraced. 20-20 is that new kid.

Also, as i can see that you dont watch or listen to commentary, the man discussed, the first Little master, Sunny, himself endorses the game.

"here will you come across “DLF Maximums” for an over-boundary or Lalit Modi’s images every 30 secs" well i have never come acroos Modi every 30 sec. may be you Watch MODI TV than SONY TV...please fine tune your set top box..

"The auction for players in the IPL resembles the auction for slaves in the Roman Empire. "
well trust me.. the entire world will like to be such slaves where wages are in millions for as short as 5 hours.

Also, 20-20 is more of a challenge, its not just nicks and hooks, its also about temperament and aptitude. Indians always fell like dominoes but dont u see a paradigm change in their confidence and body language now? Its working for the betterment of Test cricket and ODIs and enabling batsmen learn the art of scoring runs at whim, which can make TEST cricket even more exciting..wont u agree?

TEST cricket is the king, 20-20 is the prince...Modi is doing a Kerry Packer and i dont see anything wrong with it...

"The IPL will continue to make millions and who knows we will have new teams like Meerut Marauders or Darjeeling Dynamos or Kochi Killers, all competing for ineptness and meaningless matches"
Probably you are not aware of the popularity of cricket in India..every Tom wants to wear that blue...so if Meerut Marauders do come in..its all for the good..Ravindra Dadeja is one such find...he is all ready proving to be a handful...

Bing, money and glamor are accessories that cricket has for long worn with grace..even a 10-10 or 5-5, where you dont even have the time for say 'THANK YOU' (after..you know what), wont make any difference... its cricket all the way in Gucci, Gabana and Junya Watanabe... :-)

Hello Mr Gangadharan, thanking you for your thoughts around and the mental state you are in. We just do not intend to be desktop warriors but bring thoughts into action in real life as well. My suggestion, speak up through the right direction and you never know when your voice is heard. Fortunately, we are moving towards a more transparent system (at least hoping), nevertheless easy to say than done. “In order for a war to be just, three things are necessary. First, the authority of the sovereign. Secondly, a just cause. Thirdly, a rightful intention.” someone says. You have the true intention, i believe. Also visit our site www.lawisgreek.com, you may find what you are looking for long. Cheers!!

I am from Kerala .It is wrong to say that corruption is not here. It is well planed and camouflaged. I am the former general manager of a big Govt owned Company. I am a victim for not being a party to executive a project of 300 cores INR illegally. The king pin is the minister himself with the backing of 2 senior I.A.S Officers. Now that project is being implemented flouting all the rules and regulations . I have all the documents to prove it. But nobody to back me. If there is any help I am ready to take it up

My spring mornings begin when I take the bike off the stand and hear the predictable creaks and groans from the bike's 20-year old suspension system. Some of my spring mornings begin with a leak. Followed by a part of my mind always keeping the escaping oil in mind on the subsequent drive.

Personal to Hammad: "It took only few steps towards the window pane to see and feel the difference. " [Did you open the window before ogling insects, you forgot to mention it, perhaps?]

My thoughts on each of the descriptions:

Loved Palash's first spring morning description, particularly the visual imagery he created by referring to the beetles, the praying mantis and the ' Bee-Queen summoning her army of lecherous male bees.' I think the imagery was really brilliant.

Hammad and Raji had simple spring morning descriptions. Their description is simple, warm and manages to strike the right chord in the reader.

Ankit's 'freshly minted sunshine' just brightens up the day altogether.

The season of blooming is how Vidya describes a Spring Morning and yes, it definitely is the right expression. The hint of longing and waiting makes the Spring Morning worth seeing as evident in Romila's lines while Priya's description infuses a newfound high.

I would have loved to read spring morning descriptions from
Debolena, Arunesh and Saurav too.

i agree with Palash completely. I know that these events happened and I love 300 the movie. but the way you explained it seems like you went off of the movie a little too much. How do you know that they said "we'll have our battle in the shade." or "our arrows will blot out the sun." Just my opinion but i dont think you did an "elegant" or "beautiful" job explaining this at all.
