 Spring Morning Bird
The pearly rays of the sun played on my eye lids and woke me up to a fine morning. It took only few steps towards the window pane to see and feel the difference. The air smelled earthy and the dry and drooping plants were now boasting of their new found youth. It was coming of the age; but yes in the reverse order.

Adjoining the plants were their new neighbors, slick, curly, twirling bougainvillea and spring weeds. They almost looked up to the tall trees, wishing to grow as tall someday. They gyrated with the smooth wind, letting their leafs dance to its tune;  like Cinderella with her prince charming.

The beetles with their polka dresses had come out too. The preying mantis had stopped praying as God had answered their adjuration. There was plenty around to have and see.

I could see from a far the Bee-Queen summoning her army of lecherous male bees, who were willing to die to have their chance. She was making the plans for their new hive. I could almost hear her say, ‘Sparta! Today we dine in our hive’. The eave dropping dropped only when I heard their spy swarming over me, keeping a watch on my gleaning eyes. I smiled anxiously and got the point. There was no need to fight with my stingy ‘la surveillante’. And while, the wind took the bee away, my eyes were booked by the over all verdure. It was green and beautiful all around.

The sunshine doesn’t bother you on spring mornings. It pampers you. As flowers begin to blossom, so does your mood. As you walk on the lively grass, the surroundings become kaleidoscopic. Undoubtedly, mornings of this season breathe vibrancy.

Can you hear the little sapling nudging its tiny head out of the ground to get the first glimpse of the season changing? The enchantment of spring inundates my senses with new life, with the new hope of new beginnings. The freshly minted sunshine thaws out the edges of despair and I am once again ensnared in the gossamer web of life.

Spring Morning Dew Welcome Spring to my window sill,
To brighten my greens with colorful preens,
Don’t you know you are awaited?
For my greens long to smile, bloom and dance in the wind!
Early morning, I open my windows to beautiful vistas of open green meadows: fresh, dewy, gentle and soothing. Interspersed by colorful beds of tulips and roses, red, white, pink, yellow…, it is truly a sight to cherish! I venture out into this captivating beauty to touch the blooms, feel the breeze, watch the fluttering butterflies, listen to the humming birds, and treasure and capture this moment forever in my mind’s eye!

I step out of my house and take a deep breath. It is a fine spring morning, with flowers abloom, the sun bright and the fresh smell of jasmine. Rays of sunlight shimmer through the dew drops that slide down the blades of the lush green grass.

 Spring Morning Flowers
The colour is green and the English say it’s Autumn..
They say the king of seasons; I say it’s close to my heart.
They say harvest, I say, transition, change and freshness.
The birds are flitting and the flowers show off
The morning dew over the fresh new leaves has to give me a new found high.
Is it freezing there? No baby, it’s the Spring outside.

Spring Morning
A warm, yellow radiance gushes into the room and embraces every object within its reach as soon as the curtains are drawn. Twittering vibrance fills the ears and multi-colored blossoms greet the eyes. The earth has cast away its morose wintry blanket and welcomed the season of revival and happiness with open arms. The sense of luxury and plenitude in the air fills every heart….

Have you noticed clocks at TV commercials, print advertisements, I mean most of them. It shows Ten Ten. Often thought what the logic is behind it. The leading clock manufacturers imply that it is a standard some other confirmed sources justify by saying that that it (the positioning of the arms gives a smiley kind of look. There are rounds of theories that go around pertaining this standard practice such as timing of Lincoln’s assassination, the first bomb falling over Hiroshima, even Gandhiji’s watch recently auctioned bears that timing – 10:10. Some can argue what’s there in this time, it occur everyday over the years and it will, in years to come. Anyways, I never received a convincing answer which I have kept looking for many years.

I always knew that a word called ‘weekend’ existed. However, deprivation from its experience made me consider it futile. This continued for twenty and a half years of my life. The very concept of how one day was technically different from another was out of my understanding.

I heard people talking about weekends. They usually made plans for that part of the week – plans to party. Shops announced they were open for a longer time during the weekends. On TV, the best movies came on Saturdays. Okay, it may sound a bit strange to you but this is how it was.

Then, I started working. And, I came to know what ‘weekend’ meant. When I looked back, I found myself doing one thing at a time 24*7 in all the phases of my life. Homework, quizzing, playing, nothing, singing, studying, writing – I did all that and just that. While the superficial pattern of my routine appears to be boring, I can not recall any day I felt so. On the other hand, the way how things captured my life is amazing. And trust me, it were those days which taught me that ‘enjoyment’ was ‘involvement’ spelt differently.

Then, some people came and told me, “Hey! See it works differently when you WORK.” Six months gone, I still do not understand them. Give me a break!

Don’t give me a weekend.

The other day I woke from a slumber.
The world looked a little different….seemed better.
The illusion of reality we lived with had become redundant.
Dividing people to experience power was not necessary any more.
The need to kill today to live tomorrow had gone away.
Politics and religion had returned to being tools of love and peace.
Destroying what has been created was found to be wrong.
The joy of creation had been discovered.
The opportunity to create more than one consumed was available.
The ‘have nots’ finally had enough.
The ‘haves’ realized they had enough, finally.
The ‘us’ had started merging with the ‘them’.
It was easy to see who each one of us really was.
Everyone was lovable and everyone was loved.
The ‘every’ in everyone had begun to become redundant.

Then again the state above was driven by a simple three dimension perspective. We need to be able to distinguish the ‘person’ from the following three dimensions:
1) The stage of evolution that one is in. The lessons learned so far, and the learning that might still be on its way.
2) The environment that one is currently living in. Which covers all things external which often impact the decisions made.
3) The actions that one takes today.
On removing the three dimension above one starts seeing the true being within our self and others. It is a state in which we begin to truly appreciate how wonderful all of us are. That is the beginning of an awakening where the world described above starts moving from theory to practice. Complexity moves to simplicity. Illusions dissolve to show the reality.
Things get even more interesting when you start seeing the fourth dimension – time. With a perspective into time the three dimensions mentioned above can be moved around in your mind such that you can clearly start seeing the future and the past. Then you move from living in a beautiful world to living in many of them at the same time!
